Morocco sits where Europe, Africa and the Arab world meet, and most active trips focus on two regions: the High Atlas, North Africa’s highest range, for trekking and mountain biking out of Marrakech; and the Sahara to the south, reached over the mountains, for camel treks and nights at desert camps. Around them are the medinas of Marrakech and Fes, the kasbahs and palm groves of the Draa Valley, and the Atlantic coast at Essaouira and Taghazout.
