Day 2 Hiking and Adventuring in Torres del Paine
Torres del Paine National Park is the prime destination for travellers to Chilean Patagonia and home to the iconic and recognizable views of the Chilean side of the region. The Park is recognized by UNESCO as a biosphere reserve and full of native plants and animals.
You’ll tour the Del Milodón Cave and the nearby small museum that displays the prehistoric flora and fauna of the land. Hike to the Nordenskjold Viewpoint where an expansive view of the Paine massif can be appreciated. Next, it’s onwards to the huge, thundering Salto Grande Waterfall. You’ll eat lunch watching the water crash down, surrounded by mountains. Hike to Grey Lake, where the Grey Glacier sits. The massive glaciers in Patagonia are always impressive to see, and Grey is unique for its jagged, mountain range-like shape. After snapping too many photos of the mountains and ice to count, it’s back to Puerto Natales to fall into bed.
