Day 1 Arrival in Vientiane
Welcome to Laos! Make your way through the airport and find your own way to your comfortable hotel in Luang Vientiane. Settle in, then head to the lobby to meet everyone for a welcome dinner. Your guide will give you some information about the adventure ahead, then it’s time to head to bed.

Day 2 Vientiane Highlights & Scenic Transfer to Vang Vieng
Meet your guide at the hotel lobby at 8:00am and set out to explore Vientiane, the capital of Laos. Discover the city’s key landmarks, where European colonial influences blend with traditional Lao architecture. Visits include Vat Sisaket, Vat Phra Keo, the iconic Pha That Luang stupa, and the Patuxay Triumphal Arch, offering panoramic views over the city. In the afternoon, travel by private car to Vang Vieng. Upon arrival, enjoy a short walk up to a scenic viewpoint for stunning sunset views over the region’s dramatic karst landscapes. Return to town and enjoy a relaxed evening in Vang Vieng.

Day 3 Khmu Village: Discover Daily Life in Rural Laos
Meet your guide at the hotel lobby at 9:00am and travel by tuk-tuk to the Nam Song River. Enjoy a relaxed boat journey past Vang Vieng’s iconic limestone karst scenery before arriving at a riverside Khmu village. Spend the day discovering daily life in the village, including a visit with a local blacksmith to learn traditional knife-making techniques. Enjoy a home-cooked Khmu lunch with a local family and learn about their customs and animistic traditions. Later, discover how local rice wine, known as Lao Hai, is made. In the afternoon, walk through rice paddies to visit a nearby cave and enjoy a short rest in a farm hut, sampling the rice wine and learning about the importance of agriculture in Laos. Return to Vang Vieng in the late afternoon after a meaningful cultural immersion.

Day 4 Scenic Train Journey to Luang Prabang & City Tour
After breakfast, depart Luang Prabang and travel to Nong Khiaw, arriving in the early afternoon. Upon arrival, enjoy a short but rewarding hike to the Nong Khiaw viewpoint, where you’ll be treated to breathtaking panoramic views over the Nam Ou River and the surrounding green hills. After descending the trail, check in to your hotel and enjoy free time to relax, explore the town, have dinner, or simply unwind before the night.

Day 5 Luang Prabang: Tak Bat & Kuang Sy Countryside Walk
Early this morning, experience the traditional Tak Bat almsgiving ceremony, followed by a visit to a local morning market. Return to the hotel for breakfast. Later, travel to Ban Nong Heo village to explore a traditional Khmu community before enjoying an easy countryside walk through forests and plantations, ending near the beautiful Kuang Sy Waterfalls. In the afternoon, visit a village known for traditional Sa paper making before returning to Luang Prabang.

Day 6 Luang Prabang: Pak Ou Village & Cultural Immersion
Drive through the scenic Luang Prabang countryside to Ban Muang Keo, where you’ll learn the art of traditional flower offerings and their cultural significance. Visit a local temple for a serene spiritual experience and receive a monk blessing. Explore the village and meet friendly locals to discover daily life in rural Laos. Enjoy a refreshing aperitif by the Mekong River, followed by a delicious lunch of traditional Lao cuisine. Take a short forest hike to reach the famous Pak Ou Caves, home to thousands of Buddha statues, and learn about their history and religious importance. End the day with a relaxing boat ride back to Luang Prabang along the Mekong River, enjoying the peaceful scenery.

Day 7 Fly to Siem Reap, Cambodia
Gather with your group for your last breakfast in Laos and enjoy free time in the morning before packing your stuff and heading to the airport. You can opt to take an early morning walk to see the Tak Bath ceremony performed at the temple before bidding farewell to Laos and boarding the plane for Siem Reap, Cambodia.
Once you land, you’ll be greeted by a local guide and taken to the hotel for a free evening to freshen up and explore on your own.

Day 8 Visit Angkor Wat Archaeological Park
Indulge in your first tastes of Khmer cuisine for breakfast, then prepare for a full day exploring the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Angkor Wat. Your guide will have the route planned out, so no need to worry about getting lost in this enormous complex—it’s the largest religious complex in the world, after all! Visit highlights like the Bayon Temple, the Elephant Terrace, the Royal Palace, and Angkor Wat, the iconic structure associated with Cambodia. While all the temples are remarkable, the view of Angkor Wat reflected in the lake in front of it is particularly sublime.
Head back to the hotel to rest your legs and scroll through the hundreds of pictures you took of today’s excursion.

Day 9 Hiking at Phnom Kulen

Meet your local ranger and begin a trek through the jungle, visiting the River of 1000 Lingas and the golden Reclining Buddha at Preah Ang Thom. Continue along forest trails to the Phnom Kulen Waterfall, where you can take a refreshing swim before enjoying lunch nearby. Return to Siem Reap in the afternoon.
