Patagonia Sea Kayaking Tour Itinerary
Day 1 Arrive in Punta Arenas and Welcome Dinner
Welcome to Patagonia! Once you’ve landed, your private transfer will be waiting for you at the airport to take you to your hotel accommodation for the evening in downtown Punta Arenas. L
ater in the evening, you’ll meet up with your guide and any other group members traveling along in this adventure to enjoy a welcome dinner in downtown Punta Arenas. After sharing a wonderful meal and great company, your guide will brief you on your journey and each day’s itinerary for the following days ahead. After dinner and the briefing, head back to your hotel to relax and enjoy a quiet night’s rest.

Day 2 Hike Monte Tarn and Enjoy an Authentic Lamb BBQ
Following breakfast at the hotel, a private transfer will pick you up for the 1 hour drive to the start of today’s trek. Today’s hike takes you to a historical place which has a landscape of evergreen forest, great mountains, and lots of flora and fauna. On a journey of exploration, Charles Darwin was the first person to climb this mountain now known as Monte Tarn. At the camp, you’ll complete a short briefing before preparing for the ascent.
Hiking about 6 miles to reach the to you’ll then enjoy lunch accompanied by incredible views. You’ll start your descent and enjoy the view of the Strait of Magellan and the large islands below.
After about 7 hours, you’ll arrive at the beach again, where a 45 minute transfer to Estancia Agua Fresca awaits.
Tonight you’ll enjoy a lamb barbecue, Patagonian style as a celebration of this amazing hike! Afterwards, you’ll drive to the next location where you’ll begin tomorrow’s kayaking excursion. Here, you’ll camp at a remote coastline campsite.

Day 3 Full Day Sea Kayaking the Strait of Magellan
In the morning following breakfast at camp, you’ll begin your first kayaking excursion, preparing all the gear and completing a thorough safety briefing before heading out.
During this excursion you will use a support zodiac boat for safety and to transport the food and equipment to the stopping point of rest. After about 2 hours you reach San Isidro lighthouse where you’ll pass by and continue to El Aguila Bay, where lunch is prepared and you can visit the ruins in this place which used to function as a whale station in the Magellan Strait, more than 100 years ago.
After lunch you continue following the shore heading southwest until you reach San Nicolas bay where you’ll set up camp. Enjoy some time to relax, explore a bit on land and have a try at catching dinner from the sea! If you are lucky, your group can share this along with a great bottle of Chilean wine for dinner.

Day 4 Full Day Sea Kayak Strait of Magellan Continued
Your third day continues as you advance your kayaking skills and start exploring more unprotected shores. You’ll begin to see changes as you get closer to the end of the continent – a place where many sailors have had to give up and surrender to the roughness of these waters!
You will set up the campsite at Rosas Bay just a few kilometers from Cape Froward and if weather permits, continue to Cape Froward this same day.

Day 5 Hike to the End of the American Continent
As you reach Cape Froward, we will hike up the hill where the Cruz de las Mares (Oceans Cross) which marks the meeting of Atlantic and Pacific oceans. You’ll walk 340 meters high to the cross before starting your return to board the zodiac boat which will take you back to where you camped on the first night.
On your way back you’ll stop at the San Isidro lighthouse to visit the restored building and some small displays of ancient pieces before heading back to the hotel for the evening to enjoy your final dinner together as a group and a well-deserved night’s rest.

Day 6 Private Transfer to Punta Arenas Airport
In the morning following breakfast in the hotel, your private transfer will pick you up and take you to the Punta Arenas Airport (PUQ) for your flight.

This guided sea kayaking tour in Torres del Paine National is always run as a guided tour for your group only and the pricing per person depends on the size of your group. The prices below are per person:- Guided groups of 4+: USD2145 per person
Important: This tour is a subject to non-standard payment and cancellation terms. Payment Terms:
- Full payment will be required 90 days before the departure
- 75+ Days: Total trip cost minus a USD200 booking fee per person for regular programs, USD500 booking fee per person for tailor-made and private programs will be refunded
- 74 – 56 Days: 50% of total trip cost will be refunded
- 55 Days or Less: No Refund
