Day 1 Welcome to Quadra Island
Your adventure begins with an overnight stay at one of Quadra Island’s stunning resorts. This peaceful start gives you a chance to unwind and explore the beauty of Quadra Island before embarking on your kayaking and camping journey in Desolation Sound. In the afternoon, you’ll attend a briefing where you will be provided with a dry bag for your belongings and given important details about the upcoming days. Afterward, you’ll be ready for an early morning launch to begin your adventure.

Day 2-3 Exploring Desolation Sound
Your guides will meet you at the resort and transport you to the ferry, which will take you to your launch point on the beautiful Cortes Island. After a kayak orientation, your first paddle will take you deep into the heart of Desolation Sound. Each kayaking trip is tailored to the group’s skill level and interests, so the areas you explore and the campsites you visit will be unique to your adventure.
