Trekking the Andringitra & Tsaranoro Valleys of Madagascar Itinerary
Day 1 Arrive in the city of Antananarivo
Upon arriving in Antananarivo, Madagascar’s capital, you will be welcomed at the airport by local representatives and taken to your hotel. In the afternoon, enjoy a guided tour of the city’s key attractions, including the Queen’s Palace and Independence Avenue. Antananarivo offers a vibrant blend of historic architecture, bustling markets, and stunning hilltop views.

Day 2 Journey to Ambositra

Day 4 Begin Trekking in Andringitra National Park

Day 5 Trek to Andriampotsy Campsite

Arrive at the Andriampotsy campsite, located at 2,100 meters, where sweeping views of the highlands await. This peaceful setting offers a perfect place to relax and recover after a rewarding day on the trail.

Day 6 Sunrise Ascent of Pic Boby
Begin the day early at 3:00 AM to take on the challenging ascent of Pic Boby, Madagascar’s second-highest peak at 2,658 meters. Reach the summit in time to witness a breathtaking sunrise and take in panoramic views across the national park. After a well-earned breakfast back at Andriampotsy, descend into a striking valley surrounded by dramatic rock formations and settle in at the Andranolava campsite.
