Day 1 Arrive at Kathmandu
Upon your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, you will be warmly welcomed by an airport representative. From there, you will be assisted with your transfer and driven comfortably to your hotel in a private tourist vehicle.

Day 2 Kathmandu Heritage Sightseeing Tour
After breakfast, your guided sightseeing tour begins at 8:30 am with a private vehicle and a professional tour guide. You will first visit Boudhanath Stupa, one of the largest Buddhist stupas in the world, where you can observe monks and pilgrims performing rituals in a peaceful spiritual setting. The journey then continues to Pashupatinath Temple, Nepal’s most sacred Hindu site, located along the Bagmati River, where you may witness traditional ceremonies and cultural practices along the ghats.
Finally, you will explore Bhaktapur Durbar Square, a beautifully preserved medieval city featuring temples, courtyards, and the iconic 55-Window Palace, offering a rich experience of Nepal’s art, architecture, and living heritage.

Day 3 Patan & Bhaktapur Heritage Tour with Scenic Hike to Changu Narayan Temple
After breakfast, your guided tour begins at 8:30 am as you explore the ancient cities of Patan and Bhaktapur with a professional guide.
First, you will visit Patan Durbar Square, home to the former royal palace of the Malla Kings and beautifully carved temples such as Krishna Mandir, Bhimsen Temple, and Taleju Bhawani Temple, showcasing the rich artistry of the valley.
The journey continues to Bhaktapur Durbar Square, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its well-preserved medieval architecture, including Nyatapola Temple, Bhairab Nath Temple, and Dattatreya Temple. From there, you will drive to Telkot and enjoy a scenic 2.5-hour hike to Changu Narayan Temple, one of the oldest Hindu temples in Nepal dedicated to Lord Vishnu. The rest of the day is free for leisure and shopping in Thamel.

Day 4 Lukla Arrival and First Trek to Phakding via Dudh Koshi Valley
Your flight to Tenzing-Hillary Airport (Lukla) usually operates early in the morning, so we recommend completing your packing the day before to ensure a smooth and stress-free start.
Upon arrival in Lukla, you will enjoy breakfast while your guide arranges the porters (typically one porter for every two guests). The trek then begins with a gentle descent toward the Dudh Kosi River, joining the main trail that leads toward Namche Bazaar.
The walk is relatively easy as you pass through small villages like Chaunikharka and Ghat before continuing on a scenic trail to reach Phakding for your first overnight stay in the Everest region.

Day 5 Trek to Namche Bazaar
You will trek from Phakding to Namche Bazaar over approximately 6 hours, following the beautiful Dudh Koshi River and crossing exciting suspension bridges decorated with prayer flags along the way. As you enter Sagarmatha National Park, the trail gradually climbs, rewarding you with stunning views of the Himalayan landscape.
Upon reaching Namche Bazaar, you will experience the vibrant heart of the Everest region—the largest Sherpa settlement along the trail. Here, you’ll find a lively mountain town filled with bakeries, cafés, lodges, and shops, offering both comfort and culture in the midst of the Himalayas.

Day 6 Acclimatization Day
Today is an acclimatization day, giving you time to adjust to the altitude while enjoying one of the trek’s most rewarding experiences. You will hike to the Everest View Hotel, where breathtaking panoramic views of Mount Everest and the surrounding Himalayan peaks await. As you ascend, the mountain vistas gradually unfold, making every step worthwhile.
Along the way, you will also visit Syangboche Airport, one of the world’s highest airstrips, perched above Namche Bazaar. From this unique vantage point, you’ll enjoy spectacular views of the Everest region before returning to Namche for a relaxing afternoon.

Day 7 Trek to Monjo
On this day, you will descend to Monjo, passing once again through Sagarmatha National Park as you begin to say farewell to the Everest region and the world’s highest peak. The trail follows the Dudh Koshi River, with several crossings over suspension bridges decorated with prayer flags, offering a beautiful final glimpse of the Himalayan landscape.
The walk is scenic and peaceful as you make your way down to Monjo for your overnight stay, enjoying the changing scenery and the last views of the mountains along the route.

Day 8 Trek to Lukla
From Monjo, you will enjoy a scenic 4 to 5 hour downhill walk back to Lukla, passing through beautiful villages and along the Dudh Koshi River as you retrace part of your journey through the Everest region. Upon arrival in Lukla, you will have time to relax and reflect on your incredible trekking experience, revisiting the unforgettable memories of the mountains before your onward journey.

The Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu is the only international airport in Nepal. If arriving in Nepal by air, you must fly to this airport.

You will be given a complete packing list for your trek upon booking. Plan to layer your clothing to be comfortable at different temperatures. You should be able to add a waterproof layer (jacket and trousers) to stay dry, as well as protect yourself from the sun with a hat and sunglasses. A headlamp with extra batteries is also recommended. You will carry your own daypack (30 L recommended) during the day and your baggage on the trek is limited to 12 kg. You should also have dry bags, a padlock (to lock your trek bag) and a basic first aid kit. Please respect the traditional Nepalese culture by dressing conservatively (avoid bare shoulders and keep legs covered)

Plan to have cash exchanged into Nepali rupees. It is possible to withdraw rupees from ATMs in Kathmandu but not outside the city. An estimated $400-600 USD per person should be enough for meals in Kathmandu, drinks, snacks and other personal expenses such as showers and charging batteries in the trekking lodges. This should also cover tips for your guide, porters, and other trek staff.
Guides and porters appreciate your tips, and this forms a large portion of their compensation. If you receive good service, you should plan on tipping your guides approximately $3-$5 per day per person in your group. You should tip your porter $2 - $4 per person per day. A larger group would tip on the lower end of the scale, while a smaller group of 2-5 would tip on the higher end.
