Sequoia and Kings Canyon Hiking Tour Itinerary
Day 1 Arrive in Sequoia National Park and Hike to Tokopah Falls
Today you’ll meet the group at the Fresno airport and take the shuttle to Sequoia. Your first hike will be from Lodgepole, traveling along the Marble Fork of the Kaweah River to Tokopah Falls. The final stretch is a quick boulder scramble to reach the bottom of this gorgeous waterfall that towers 1,200 feet above you.

Day 2 Follow the Lakes Trail
The shuttle will drop you off at the Wolverton trailhead this morning, where you’ll begin your hike on the Lakes Trail. Look forward to walking along the Watchtower Ledge and visiting Heather and Emerald Lakes, crystal pools tucked in deep among the tall trees.

Day 3 Hike up Alta Peak
Today you’ll take on the impressive trail up Alta Peak. Standing at 11,204 feet over sea level, Alta Peak offers an intensely rewarding climb. From the top, you’ll have amazing views of the surrounding mountains all the way to Emerald Lake far below you.

Day 4 Walking in the Giant Forest
Your trail today is Congress Trail, which explores the Giant Forest. On this route, you’ll see the amazing giant sequoia trees, including the famous General Sherman Tree, which is the largest single stem tree on the planet!
You’ll continue hiking to Crescent Meadow, followed by a climb to the amazing lookout at the top of Moro Rock. This evening you’ll move to your new hotel near Grants Village.

Day 5 Hiking in Kings Canyon
The destination today is Kings Canyon. You’ll start your hike from the Roads End trailhead and walk along the Kings River. Follow the water all the way to beautiful Mist Falls before crossing the river at Bubbs Creek to begin the return hike.

Day 6 Big Baldy Hike
The final day of your tour will be a busy one! Begin your day with a hike up the ridge to Big Baldy, where you’ll have expansive views over the park below.
From Big Baldy, you’ll visit the sequoia trees in Grant Grove, including the 1,500 year old “General Grant” tree. What a treat! Finally, the shuttle will return you to Fresno where your tour finishes.
